The first annual Banger Steelhead trip was a great success. We had beautiful weather, great accommodations next to a great river and we hooked into some large steelhead . This trip saw Mikey land the largest bow measuring 30 inches using his switch rod and a streamer. Lon was able to fish for two days and netted 3 steelhead . He had a very good guide. He caught all these bows on size 12 Prince nymphs. All the Bangers either landed or lost a few fish.
We had the advantage of being first on the river with our house being remotely located and right on the river. We were out the door at 6 a.m. every morning in the dark to claim the best runs and holes in our section of river. We did however gain a bad reputation for leaving a fresh pile of poop on the rivers pathways. Thanks Eric and Lon!
